Go to Word Options on the Office button, click Advanced and scroll down to Cut Copy and Paste. On the ‘Insert/Paste Picture As’ drop-down menu try ‘Through’ or ‘In front of text’. In Show Document Content, make sure that ‘Show Picture Placeholders’ is unchecked, and ‘Show Drawings and Text Boxes On Screen’ is checked. Word can have difficulty pasting images from the Windows 7/8 Clipboard if the program or application where the image came from has been closed. Finally, a really obscure one, caused by a faulty Bluetooth driver of all things. To fix it type ‘winword’ in a Search box, right-click the icon and select open as Administrator. Once again go Word Options on the Office button and select Add-Ins. At the bottom of the page make sure that ‘COM Add-Ins’ is displayed in the Manage box and click Go. If ‘Send to Bluetooth’ is displayed uncheck it and click OK. If for some reason you need this facility check with the supplier of the Bluetooth adaptor for an updated driver.
